The head of state traveled to speak to national troops in the Pokrovsk area on Tuesday. He stated that he engaged with fighters at the military base of the 1st Corps of the state defense force Azov, which is conducting a defensive operation in the Dobropillya zone, a town approximately a short distance from the city.

Critical Circumstances in the Area

Updated analysis from a Ukrainian project showed that Russian forces had advanced deeper into the city and surrounding areas, though much of it remained beyond firm control by any party. The situation remains critical, with updates indicating that Russian forces were digging in and building up positions in certain areas.

Russian forces continue to advance in the Pokrovsk sector and appear to be operating with enhanced confidence within the city proper.

Research institutes observed that national troops had liberated a significant portion of a Russian penetration in the Dobropillya direction, on the eastern edge of the Pokrovsk campaign.

Kyiv's Drone Strikes Inside Russian Territory

Kyiv's aerial vehicles targeted a production facility approximately 1,300km inside the federation at the city. Local officials confirmed a blast at the Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant that led to the partial collapse to suffer damage, adding that the cause of the explosion was undetermined. The Ukrainian military general staff stated there was extensive harm to the plant.

Defense units reported hitting a Lukoil oil refinery at Kstovo in the federal district east of Moscow. The level of destruction was under evaluation. The local official acknowledged a strike by 20 drones near the area.

Russian Military Policy Changes

The national leader also signed a law permitting draft enrollment continuously whereas earlier it occurred only during specific times in cooler seasons. Moscow legally bars conscripts from being assigned to fighting, but after their military service they become part of the backup units, putting them at risk of being deployed to conflict.

Heavy military spending have also started to pressure the national finances, with Moscow raising taxes to address growing shortfalls.

Zelenskyy's Calls for International Support

The national leader called on America to remain open to delivering to the nation with long-range weapons. Appealing to European leaders from the Pokrovsk area, the national leader also requested more international restrictions on Russia – including on Russia's gas and nuclear sectors – and said he sought accession to the union before 2030.

International Aid and Political Developments

Germany plans to increase defense support to the nation by a substantial amount next year to about a significant sum, the economic authority in Berlin said on the weekday. This includes, among other things, artillery, drones, armoured vehicles and the exchange of missile defense equipment.
